The Cozy Internet Cafe
A text-only platform designed for meeting new people online without all the pressure of
video chat or anxiety of talking to a bot. And it’s completely free.
How it works
Real faces only
A real selfie, checked in your browser before it goes anywhere. So you know
there’s a human on the other side — not a bot behind a blank avatar.
Text, and only text
Hang out and meet someone new without video. There’s no camera here and there
isn’t going to be — nobody should have to be camera-ready to be worth talking
to.
Someone new, every time
The Plaza hands you one person at a time. Make a connection, hang out, and when a
conversation runs out, there’s another waiting.
What Plaza is not
- Not a dating app
- Not video chat
- Not a feed or infinite scroll
- Not a place that wants your wallet or a data dossier
Who it’s for
People looking for a small digital third place: conversation first, cozy internet
café energy, strangers meeting as people.
Three rules, and they’re the whole list: Be a person. Don’t be a nuisance.
Be kind.
