Plaza’s Goal

Plaza’s focus is you — the cosmic amalgamation of particles who yearns for new connections.

Plaza is a text-only place to make new connections around the world: talk to someone new without video, without wondering if they’re a bot, and without the awkwardness of having nothing to say.

I’m not interested in your money or your personal data. I want a welcoming corner of the internet where strangers can meet as people. A date of birth is checked at the door, and the date is not kept.

I’ve long looked for somewhere to hang out online that was purely about conversation — no camera pressure, no bot anxiety, no dating-app energy. Plaza tries to check those boxes. That’s why a selfie is required for your profile picture: a real face, checked in your browser, so you know there’s a human on the other side.

It definitely won’t be for everyone, but I hope a great many people will be able to foster lasting relationships by meeting on here.
